Our Marriott rewards regularly gives us a 1 free room night to use.. and we regularly forget to use it right up to the point where it is going to expire. We then embark on a frantic search for somewhere interesting to go, that doesn’t require too much travel or money, which is almost the only time we bother to stay at a hotel in Denver. This year, that frantic search revealed that the Gaylord by DIA was a Marriott property.
The Gaylord, famous for it’s hotel in Nashville, TN, build this quite different hotel aiming to bring opulence and excess, but apparently in a giant log cabin sort of way. While we’d argue that it lands up looking like a giant Great Wolf Lodge, the sum of the parts, especially when you’re staying there, is greater than the overall look. Byron and Toni both enjoyed the overall feel. Still feels like they should sponsor some fur trapper’s convention, overall, though.
